2000 Series rotary pumps incorporate a number of features, unique to Plenty Mirrlees which make our rotary pumps some of the most versatile in the marketplace.  The range has been designed, through intensive customer feedback, with the features that are essential to the end-user - such as spares interchangability throughout the range.

Variable control flow rate from zero to maximum

Considerable energy cost savings at reduced flow rates.  External pressure and flow control systems not required.  Versatile pump utilisation matching pump flow against system demand.

Fixed speed drive

There is no need to use expensive variable speed drives to achieve variable flow, or reverse flow.

Comprehensive flow control availability

Manual, Remote Control and Automatic flow controls are available to suit almost any application.

Plenty Rotary Liquid Displacement Technology

The Plenty pumping principle has lesser wear and lower maintenance than other pumps in its class.

Versatile design concept

Pump arrangements suitable for viscosity applications from 1 cst to 1,000,000 cst

Robust construction

Heavy duty bearing arrangement designed for long operational periods between routine maintenance.

Efficient Suction

Low NPSH required characteristics

Low Operational Speeds

In addition to long service life, the slow pumping action has a very low shear rate, dramatically reducing or even eliminating emulsification of the pumped liquid.

Low noise

Environmentally acceptable for site operators.

High volumetric efficiency

Low running costs

Self draining

Zero retention, avoids cross contamination when installed for multi product service.

Viscous Liquid Handling

Unlike some other designs, the Plenty rotary mechanism enables the pump to operate at high viscosities whilst maintaining high efficiency.

Mechanical seals

The seal housing is in accordance with the standard dimensions of DIN 24960, and can therefore accomodate most brands of mechanical seals, or API682 cartridge seals.

Heating jackets

The pump can be fitted with jacketed covers to allow heating by hot oil or steam. (Electric heat tracing can be used on non jacketed pumps).

2000 Series parts interchangability

2000 series pumps share common parts, allowing minimal spare part stocking requirements.

Relief Valve

All 2000 series pumps are fitted with an internal pressure relief valve to protect the pump from excess pressures.

API 676

Refinery specifications and client special requirements can be accommodated.
