To complement our innovative and industry proven products,
investment in sophisticated in-house technical engineering
facilities mean that we are able to support the specialised
requirements of our extensive client base.
We can provide front end design studies on specific field
developments to determine cost-effective pipeline pigging
solutions prior to the award of hardware contracts, followed
by the manufacture and/or project management of specialist
engineering solutions for both subsea and topside applications.
Our long experience in providing solutions for flow assurance
problems associated with "life of field" pipeline maintenance
requirements, places us in an ideal position to offer this service
to operators and engineering companies.
This service extends to the development of specific engineered
products for use within the oil, gas and process industries and
includes the introduction of quick opening closures for use in
both medical and environmental applications.
Examples of recent projects include:
Eastern Trough Area Project
The provision of a multiple pig launching system for the BP ETAP
field located in the UK North Sea enabled cost-effective single
line pigging operations to be carried out as part of the pipeline
maintenance programme.
Deepwater Subsea Pig Launcher
Halliburton/GD Engineering
This development, carried out jointly with Halliburton, established
the design of a multiple pig launching system for deepwater
applications. The launcher eliminates the need for round trip
pigging and the provision of expensive dual-flow lines to
connect satellite fields to host facilities.
Shah Deniz Topsides Multiple Pig Launching System
A multiple pig launching system has been supplied for the BP Shah
Deniz Caspian Sea Project. Designed for installation on the TPG500 "Jack-up" platform,
its use
will enable pipeline pigs to be launched into condensate pipeline,
at specified intervals, without the need for manual intervention.
Waste Treatment Closures
Industrial/Domestic A range of fully automatic closures for use in industrial/domestic
waste treatment plants has been produced. Ranging in size from
1.8m to 2.5m diameter the closures are designed for remote and
continuous operation in the steam reduction process.
Providing quick and safe access to the vessel, the
closure provides a cost-effective solution which
maintains the high throughput required.
Medical
The Medlock quick acting closure was
developed to provide safe and reliable
access to medical waste treatment
vessels. It´s unique design offers protection
to the operator from the high temperature
steam process conditions. Designed for operation by medical staff, the closure
will accept
red bag waste products for on-site destruction and disposal.
