Seaguard

Plenty Filters have specially designed the Seaguard range of lightweight compact seawater strainers and Tanker fuel handling strainers for the shipbuilding industry.

In addition many of the standard cast basket filters are available in special materials with stock testing certificates for use on submarines and surface vessels. The compact design of many products such as the seaguard also makes them preferred choice on the latest designs of fast ferries and commercial vessels.

Designed initially for handling seawater aboard ship, this cast strainer incorporates a high surface area pleated screen. The seaguard is suited to pump suction duty by virtue of the straight through flow and resulting very low pressure drop. An easy release cover and a very compact lightweight body make this ideal for marine installations.

Sizes: 2" - 24" Bore, flanged BS 4504 or ANSI 125, can be drilled to BS tables and DIN standards.

Materials: Gunmetal or aluminium bronze as standard with option of cast iron and DIN standards.

Options: Available shock tested for installation aboard naval vessels.
